Prostate cancer is the second most common form of cancer among American men. Usually, your doctor can diagnose an enlarged or inflamed prostate with a prostate exam.

Prostate cancer screening is recommended for men over 50 years of age. If you have a family history of prostate cancer, your doctor might require you to start earlier, as part of a routine check-up.

Have you scheduled your screening yet?

Erectile dysfunction (ED), when it goes untreated, can cause emotional stress, relationship strain, and mainly low self-confidence.
Patients who have erectile dysfunction should be first evaluated for any physical and psychological conditions for treatment. If, after initial treatment, the problem persists, then medications and assistive devices, such as pumps, can be prescribed.
We want you to pay attention to this condition because it could be a sign of cardiovascular disease indicating blockages in the vascular system.
We recommend you come in for a consultation to discuss it with the doctor.

Sexually transmitted diseases, most known as (STDs), can also be called sexually transmitted infections (STIs) or venereal diseases. These are infections that can be transmitted through sexual activity and intimate contact, from one person to another

We perform at our location, some  of the most common tests for STDs

  • Chlamydia Testing
  • Gonorrhea Testing
  • Syphilis Tests

Remember that the correct use of latex condoms can significantly reduce the chances of becoming infected or spreading STDs.

It is no secret that bad cholesterol can bring you lots of health complications. The American Heart Association recommends having your cholesterol checked at least once a year to determine your risk for cardiovascular disease and stroke.

Several factors can contribute to poor cholesterol and put you at risk of a heart attack, such as:

  • Being overweight
  • Physical inactivity
  • Cigarette smoking
  • Excess alcohol consumption
  • A diet very high in carbohydrates (more than 60 percent of total calories)
  • Underlying diseases or genetic disorders can also cause high triglyceride levels.

Make sure to schedule your annual check-up to learn more about how your cholesterol can be impacting your health
