Here are some of the exams that you can expect during your visit to the immigration medical exam.
- Physical Examination
- Medical Review
- Chest X-Ray
- Blood Tests for Syphilis
You should expect, for your physical exam, an examination of the ears, eyes, nose, and throat, heart, extremities, lungs, lymph nodes, abdomen, and skin.
The purpose of the immigration exam is to screen for existing medical conditions to complete the immigration process. The immigration exam is not a substitute for your complete annual physical exam in any form.
We hear some questions like will my child also need these tests?
The answer is No. Usually, children under 15 years of age are not required to undergo chest X-rays and blood tests during the immigration medical exams.
